The easiest translations to read are NLT, ESV and NIV. Pray before you begin reading and write down what you learn about God and about how you should live.

Prayer is one the most important things you should do. It's a time for you to communicate with God and it should be taken very seriously. Prayer has deep theological meaning but it's actually very easy to do and anyone can do it anywhere at anytime.

Find a Church Home

As believers, it's important that we find a church home. A good church home is one where you learn to have a real relationship with Christ rather than being religious. Your church home is where you fellowship with other believers and learn about the Word of God so you can grow in your Christian walk.

When you find a church home, be sure to get baptized. Baptism is being immersed in water to symbolize the end of an old way of living and a new start. When you get baptized it is a testimony to God and people that you, by faith, will live a new life as an overcomer.

A good church home also implements discipleship, which is pairing you with a mature believer that can be your mentor. Discipleship is of the utmost importance because it helps believers to become fully committed followers of Christ by experiencing how a fellow believer applies the spiritual principals and disciplines in God's word to real life situations. Discipleship also raises you up as a leader, helping to lead others to Christ.
